European Institute of Innovation and Technology invites Lithuania to explore cooperation opportunities

On 29 March, the delegation of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) will visit Vilnius. The delegation will introduce the opportunities of involvement into EIT activities and of cooperation to representatives of Lithuanian business, research and public sectors. The EIT is an initiative established to create an attractive environment for global-level innovations and new entrepreneurship initiatives. One of the main purposes of the EIT is to consolidate cooperation in the knowledge triangle (business, education and research sectors) through operation of knowledge and innovation communities. European satellite navigation programmes EGNOS and Galileo. What are their benefits for Lithuania?

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, European GNSS Agency (GSA), and State Enterprise Oro Navigacija invite to participate in the seminar "European satellite navigation programmes: EGNOS ir Galileo. What are their benefits for Lithuania?" on 27 March 2019 The seminar will focus on space policy as part of technological revolution and on the benefits of the European space programme for each of us. EGNOS and Galileo programmes, as well as EGNSS applications, systems, and projects will be described in detail. The seminar is free of charge. The number of participants is limited. Registration form has to be completed before the 20th of March. The language of the seminar is English (in case of need, translation into Lithuanian will be available).

By implementing the project "Development of researcher international competence (TYKU 2)", project number 09.3.3-ESFA-V-711-01-0005, the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology invites scientists and other researchers from state research and higher education institutions to participate in HORIZON 2020 courses on application preparation and project management. The courses are free of charge. Duration: 7 days. The Research Council of Lithuania invites to apply for implementation of joint research projects in 2020–2021 under the Lithuanian-Ukrainian programme. Research trends to be funded: information and new production technologies, energy and energetic efficiency, ecology and rational use of natural resources, life sciences, new materials, social sciences and humanities, and defence technologies. The Research Council of Lithuania will finance short-term (up to 1 month) visits of project implementers from Lithuania to Ukraine, organization of joint seminars, conferences and meetings in Lithuania, as well as technical preparation and publishing of joint articles (publications) and materials of joint events. No funds will be allocated for scientific research; only dissemination and mobility activities will be financed.
