CLIMATE CHANGE IN LITHUANIA: GLOBAL AND NATIONAL CHALLENGES, MONITORING AND POLICY GUIDELINES
On 20 Match 2020, the Institute of Geosciences of Vilnius University (M. K. Čiurlionio 21, Vilnius) will host a conference "Klimato kaita Lietuvoje: globalūs ir nacionaliniai iššūkiai, stebėsena ir politikos gairės" / "Climate change in Lithuania: global and national challenges, monitoring and policy guidelines.
The conference is intended to commemorate the 250th anniversary of meteorological measurements the then rector of Vilnius University M. O. Počobutas initiated at the Observatory of Vilnius University in 1770, as well as to share climate change monitoring experience and discuss implementation of climate change policy tasks. Scientists, students, public figures, businessmen, teachers and secondary school students are invited to the conference.

Scope of abstracts: 2500–3000 characters.

Conference abstracts will be issued as an online publication with DOI (digital object identifier).
Conference is free of charge.
Conference will include plenary and poster sessions. Conference languages: plenary sessions ‒ Lithuanian, poster sessions ‒ Lithuanian and English.
Conference participants will be sent conference programmes by e-mail on 9–13 March 2020.
