International scientific-practical seminar on ASH DIEBACK
The researchers from the Laboratory of Plant Pathology of Nature Research Centre together with colleagues from Germany, Estonia and Latvia are running an international scientific project "Consolidating approaches to mitigate the ash dieback disease in the Baltic States and Germany".
On 16 October 2019, 9:00 A.M. the Kaunas College of Forestry and Environmental Engineering (Liepų St 1, Girionys, Kaunas district) and on 17 October 2019, 9:00 A.M. the Nature Research Centre (Conference Hall, Akademijos St 2, Vilnius) will host an international seminar where Lithuanian and foreign scientists will share the problems and experience on ash dieback caused by invasive pathogenic fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus, threats all over Europe, and search for efficient measures to control the spread of the disease. The seminar will include practical visits to ash dieback and recovering areas in Kėdainiai and Jonava districts.
