Two new immigrant Poaceae family plant species in Lithuania. – Botanica Lithuanica, 2(3): 301–304

Two new in Lithuania immigrant plant species – Elymus sibiricus and Polypogon monspeliensis (Poaceae) are described. These plants were found in 1994 in Kaunas municipal landfill (1 km SE from village Didžiosios Lapės, Kaunas district). P. monspeliensis was found growing on wool and fur wastes. E. sibiricus was growing on slopes and in the nearest surroundings of the toxic waste dumping section. Seeds of both plant species immigrated into Lithuania, probably, with wool or fur. Establishment of P. monspeliensis is hardly possible in Lithuania, however, the naturalization or establishment of E. sibiricus is probable.
